Statement for Passengers and Drivers
This privacy statement tells you
how we are committed to looking after your personal data. This statement tells
you what information we will use to provide you with our suite of services, how
we will use your information to keep you safe and the choices and controls
available to you. This statement also tells you about your privacy rights and
how the data protection rules work to protect everyone.
BRAJ Savaari is the controller
of your personal data, unless otherwise stated below.

The term "us" or
"we" refers to the owner of the BRAJ Savaari application, BRAJ
Savaari, Requests or hires and/or receives a transportation service through
your BRAJ Savaari application account.
1. Personal
data we process We
only process the information we need to be able to provide you with the best
service in our transportation market.
- Contact information: name, phone number,
and email address. For some of our services, we may need a little more,
such as your home address.
- Profile information: Your profile
picture, saved addresses, language and communication preferences. For some
of our services, we may need a little more, such as details of your
driving licence.
- Geolocation: for example, where you need
transportation from, the time, the progress of the trip and your final
destination.
- Payment information, such as the amount
charged and the payment card used.
- Communication and correspondence records.
- Limited identification data of the device
on which the BRAJ Savaari application has been installed, such as its IP
address
- Data on the use of transportation
services: data on trip status, hours and data on your behavior as assessed
by drivers.
- Data related to communication via instant
messages in the BRAJ Savaari application ("Chat with the driver"
option): date and time of communication and its content.
2. Purposes
of the treatment
We process your personal data in
order to provide you with one or more of our transport services:
- We connect you with a driver. We collect and process personal data in order to connect
passengers with drivers in order to pick them up and transport them.
- We take you wherever you want to go : We show drivers the geolocation data and phone number of
passengers when they request a ride to enable efficient pickup and ride,
and make the ride and route transparent. This data is collected only when
the BRAJ Savaari app is activated. Geolocation data collection ends when
the BRAJ Savaari app is closed. In some countries, drivers cannot see
passengers' phone numbers; the driver sees a completely different number
temporarily redirected to the passenger's phone number, meaning that the
driver and passenger can communicate.
- We make sure your journey goes smoothly : We use geolocation data to ensure you reach your
destination and resolve quality issues related to our services.
- We make sure the app is optimal : We use contact data to notify passengers of BRAJ Savaari
app updates so you can continue using our services. We also collect
limited data from the device you use to connect to our internet, mobile
and phone services, and to help keep your account secure through
authentication and verification.
- We make sure your trip is the fastest,
cheapest and most convenient for you :
We collect data on the routes taken by our passengers to analyse
geographic coverage. This allows us, among other things, to improve
recommendations to drivers on the most efficient routes.
- How we collect payment : We collect payment details to process payments for
passenger transportation services on behalf of drivers.
- We maintain and promote standards : We collect data on trip status, time, and passenger ratings
from driver feedback to promote user safety, compliance with our terms,
and to ensure we provide everyone with a pleasant, quality service.
Customer service data and correspondence are collected for the purpose of
obtaining feedback and resolving disputes and service quality issues.
- Keeping you informed : Your name, phone number, and email address will be used to
contact you to let you know your trip has been completed, travel
confirmations, and to inform you of important service updates.
3. Legal
basis
We are permitted to use personal
information in the ways described above if we have an appropriate reason for
doing so. We always make sure we have a good reason for anything we do with
your data.
- Personal data is generally processed to
provide you with the services contracted through the BRAJ Savaari
application. This means that, in order to provide you with the promised
service and to comply with our conditions, we will process your personal
data to fulfill those obligations.
- In other circumstances, we generally
process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interest. Legitimate
interest includes our business interests in providing an innovative,
personalised, secure and cost-effective service to our passengers and partners,
unless those interests are overridden by other interests. Our legitimate
interest also includes investigating and detecting fraudulent payments and
other malicious activities, maintaining the security of our network and
systems and responding to criminal or potential criminal actions.
From time to time, we may rely
on alternative legal bases:
- if it is necessary to comply with a legal
obligation, for example, for processing data where required by law,
including, for example, if there is a valid legal request to disclose
personal information to a third party, such as a court or regulatory authority;
- to protect your vital interests or those
of others, for example in the event of an emergency or an imminent threat
to life; or
- You have given us your clear consent to
this for another specific purpose of which you have been fully informed.
In countries where legitimate
interest is not an available legal basis for BRAJ Savaari’s processing
activities, such as in Nigeria, BRAJ Savaari relies on the valid available
legal alternative mentioned above. If you choose not to provide us with
personal information, this may prevent us from performing the contract we
entered into with you or from doing something we are legally required to do. This
may also prevent us from operating your account. For example, we collect and
process personal data submitted by you during installation and use of the BRAJ
Savaari App; refusing to share geolocation data through the App means we cannot
direct a driver to your location to pick you up. We will
not be able to meet our obligations to you in other circumstances, for
example, if you refuse to verify your identity to ensure the integrity of your
account, your account may be suspended or blocked to prevent fraud.
4.
Recipients
We only work with authorized
partners. We only share when there is an appropriate reason to do so. We limit
sharing to only what is required. We do not sell your personal information.
- Personal data of the passenger is
disclosed only to drivers selected through the BRAJ Savaari application;
in this case, the driver will see the name, phone number (in some
countries the number is hidden) and geolocation data of the passenger.
- After the ride service is provided, the
name and phone number (in some countries the number is hidden) of the
passenger requesting the ride will remain visible to the driver for 24-48
hours. This is necessary for drivers to resolve any passenger issues, such
as returning something they may have forgotten in the vehicle. Oops!
- Passenger feedback on service quality is
anonymous. Your rating is private between you and BRAJ Savaari.
- Depending on the passenger's location,
personal data may be disclosed to companies and partners of the BRAJ
Savaari group.
- (local subsidiaries, representatives,
affiliates, agents, etc.). The processing of personal data carried out by BRAJ
Savaari group companies and partners will occur under the same strict
conditions as set out in this privacy statement. You can read more on your
country page.
- In some circumstances, we are legally
required to share information with third-party recipients. For example,
pursuant to a court order or when we cooperate with a data protection
supervisory authority in handling complaints or investigations. We may also
respond to requests, such as law enforcement agencies, if we believe in
good faith that the response is required by law in that jurisdiction or
promotes a task in the public interest, affects users in that
jurisdiction, and is consistent with internationally recognized standards.
In all cases, we will always ensure that we have a legal basis for sharing
the information and that we document our decision.
5. Security
and access
- Any personal information collected in the
course of providing our services is transferred to and stored in the data
centers of https://www.hostinger.com/, which are located in the
territories of Member States of the European Union. Only authorized employees
of BRAJ Savaari Group companies and partners have access to personal data
and may access it only for the purpose of resolving issues associated with
the use of the services (including disputes related to transportation
services).
- BRAJ Savaari Group companies and partners
may access personal data to the extent necessary to provide customer
support in the respective country.
- For our research and scientific purposes,
all data, such as bulk geolocation data, is anonymized so that you can
never be identified through it.
6. Your
rights and controls
We want you to be in control of
your personal data. BRAJ Savaari provides you with app-based controls so you
can view your personal information, including your profile data and travel
history. We also offer in-app settings like marketing subscriptions and
transparent cookie consent controls on our website.
Your right
of access
- You can access your personal data through
the BRAJ Savaari app. You have the right to ask us for copies of your
personal information. There are some exceptions, such as where we have to
balance the rights of others, which means you may not always receive all
of the information we process.
Right to
rectification
- You can access and update your personal
data through the BRAJ Savaari app. You have the right to request that we
rectify any information you believe is incorrect. You also have the right
to request that we complete any information you believe is incomplete.
Your right
to erasure In
certain circumstances, you have the right to request that we delete your
personal information.
Your right
to restriction of processing
- In certain circumstances, you have the
right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal
information. This means that your data can only be used for certain
purposes, such as legal claims or for the exercise of legal rights.
Your right
to object to processing
- If we process your information based on
legitimate interest, you may have the right to object to such processing.
You can object to any automated decision we have made and ask a human to
review it.
Right to
data portability
- In certain circumstances, you have the
right to request that we transfer information you have provided to us from
one organisation to another or that we provide it to you. This only
applies to information you have provided to us.
7.
Retention
BRAJ Savaari retains user data
only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above. This means that
we retain different categories of data for different periods, depending on the
type of data, the related transportation service, and the purposes for which we
collect the data.
- Your personal data will be stored as long
as you have an active passenger account. If your account is closed,
personal data will be deleted (in accordance with our retention schedule
and rules), unless such data is still required to comply with any legal
obligation or for accounting, dispute resolution or fraud prevention
purposes.
- Financial data relating to transport
services provided to passengers shall be stored for three years after the
last trip. Data required for other accounting purposes shall be stored for
seven years (after the last trip).
- In the event of suspected criminal
offences, fraudulent activity or receipt of false information, data will
be stored for a maximum of 10 years.
- In the event of payment disputes, data
will be retained until the claims are satisfied or until such claims
become time-barred.
- Travel history data and data on the use
of transportation services will be stored for three years, after which the
data will be anonymized.
Please note that uninstalling
the BRAJ Savaari app from your device does not result in the deletion of your
personal data. If the BRAJ Savaari app has not been used for three years, we
will contact you and ask you to confirm whether you wish to keep your account
active for future use. If we do not receive a response within a reasonable
time, the account will be closed and the personal data will be deleted, unless
such data is necessary for any purpose mentioned above in this privacy
statement.
8. Direct
sales
- We may send direct marketing messages to
your email address and/or phone number if you have given us permission to
do so, or pursuant to an indirect opt-in. We may personalize direct
marketing messages using information about how you use BRAJ Savaari
services, i.e. how often you use the BRAJ Savaari app and your
transportation preferences.
- If you no longer wish to receive direct
marketing messages, click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom
of one of our emails or unsubscribe in the profile section of the BRAJ
Savaari app. Easy.
9.
Automated decision making
We use automated decision making
to issue warnings and implement suspension of the ride-hailing service. Using
automated decision making is less error-prone, more efficient, and safer than
using a human factor. When assessing the need to issue a warning or suspension,
data relating to your use of the transportation services (trip status data
including cancellations, no-shows, and data about your conduct as assessed by
drivers) is considered. Suspension of use of the service may be in effect for 6
months, after which access to the service will be restored.
You always have the right to
have the decision reviewed by a human, to challenge it, express your point of
view and obtain an explanation by contacting our customer service through our
app.

Conflict resolution
- Disputes relating to the processing of
personal data are resolved, in the first instance, through the customer
service ( [email protected] ). You have the right to contact the BRAJ Savaari Data
Protection Officer ( [email protected] ).

Data protection laws are
important. They strengthen the rules and enhance your information rights. Many
of these rules may seem complicated, but most are based on common sense. We
take our responsibilities regarding your data seriously. BRAJ Savaari will

protect your privacy and provide you with even greater transparency.
